Didn’t host a party, didn’t attend a party. Just stayed home with my husband and enjoyed a delicious primal pizza using the recipe from Primal Cravings.
I know it doesn’t look fancy but it is the best grain-free pizza crust. I actually add in some coconut flour to mask the potato taste. The potato taste only really occurs when you do a thin, crispy crust.
I made biscuits from the Primal Cravings book Saturday morning, which is something I do most Saturdays. As I was rolling the biscuits onto the cookie sheet I realized that I put baking soda in the dough instead of baking powder. I thought it would change the texture and not affect the taste so I carried on. Sure enough when they were finished baking in the oven they looked normal. And for 5 seconds they tasted normal. Theeeeeeen the bitterness kicked in.
I was able to mask the bitterness with the runny egg yolk but couldn’t bring myself to eat more than one biscuit. My husband couldn’t even finish his! It was a sad waste of a whole stick of organic pastured butter.
