Dinner Friday evening was pretty standard:
Chicken thighs, onions and mushrooms with broccoli 👍 (there was more broccoli waiting for me on the stove).
Saturday morning I painted my toes and had a few mimosas before the day turned dark and dreary.
It was about 1:30 when the weather turned nasty. Shortly after that time I joined my husband and a friend in attending an event at Brewer’s Tasting Room called “Backpack Brigade.” Each person who came to the bar with a new backpack got 2 drink tickets. The backpacks are for Blessings In A Backpack (an organization that aims to feed the children whose only source of food is the meals they’re served at school). So this event entailed bringing a backpack and drinking beer lol
Being the lightweight that I am, I immediately sought food. First up–
Eggplant Parmesan! It was SOOOOOOO good!!!! It was only $7!! Had I ordered two to make it a meal, I probably wouldn’t have ended up getting fries lol
GARLIC PARMESAN FRIES!! If they were simply garlic fries I still would’ve been just as excited about this snack. Garlic parmesan– what a great combination!
After this the three of us grabbed food from the Oriental Market and cooked dinner together.
Yesterday we had burgers with my parents.
And that concludes my weekend food experience.
